Security Error: System time has been altered. H0045

1. Please send us the report for me to review the logs.

2. Did you recently update the Hatch 3 or your Windows Operating System?
3. Any recent software or hardware installed?

The error Security Error: System time has been altered (H0045) in Hatch Embroidery 3 is a protective measure triggered by the software's license management system (Sentinel HASP).

STEPS to follow:

1. Synchronize Windows Time

The most effective fix is to force a synchronization with a reliable time server.

  • Open the Control Panel and select Date and Time.

  • Go to the Internet Time tab and click Change settings...

  • Ensure Synchronize with an internet time server is checked.

  • In the "Server" box, type time.google.com or time.windows.com and click Update now.

  • Click OK and restart your computer.

2. Verify Time Zone Settings

If your time is "correct" but your time zone is wrong, the license will still fail.

  • Go to Settings > Time & Language > Date & Time.

  • Check that your Time zone matches your actual physical location.

Otherwise, please follow the steps below and let me know how it goes.

1. Close Hatch 3
2. Open Windows Updates and Settings to make sure your Windows OS is running it latest update.
3. Open the File Explorer
4.  Locate this path - C:\ProgramData\Wilcom\Hatch Embroidery\3
5. Delete the CEF Folder
6. Then restart Hatch 3 and see if the crash persists
