Hatch Embroidery gives an “Access Violation” error when starting or switching modes

“Exception Access Violation” errors can occur when launching Hatch Embroidery, opening a design, or switching between views.

Hatch Embroidery 3.1.6 includes fixes that significantly reduce these errors.

Common triggers addressed:

  1. Starting Hatch Embroidery with certain designs or system conditions
  2. Switching to Graphics Mode
  3. Opening Home or Design Library
