1. You must own Hatch 1 or 2. Your license will update to the same level you currently own.
2. You must use your same licensed email to purchase the update.
3. Hatch 3 is a new installation. There is no requirement that your previous version of Hatch be installed prior to the installation of Hatch 3
4. Make sure your computer meets the requirements to run Hatch 3. https://hatchembroidery.com/system-requirements
5. Before upgrading from Hatch 2 to Hatch 3, you should ensure that you back up your custom assets. These include:
- Embroidery designs: Save any designs you have created, as these are your most important assets.
- Design templates: If you've created custom templates, make sure to back them up.
- Custom motif, borders that you have created.
- Any 3rd party ESA fonts you have purchased.
If you've added any custom motifs or borders, or 3rd party fonts you'll need to transfer these manually to Hatch 3- Keyboard design collections: If you've mapped any fonts to keyboard characters, save these collections.
These assets will not be automatically transferred during the upgrade, so it's essential to back them up before proceeding. In Hatch 3 you will save your Assets in C:\ProgramData\Wilcom\Hatch Embroidery and the appropriate folder.
Do not save in the C:\ProgramFiles or C:\ProgramFiles (x86) folders.
