How to Resolve the Hatch 3 Error: “A Valid License to Run Hatch Embroidery Could Not Be Found. (H0007)”

If you encounter the error message “A valid license to run Hatch Embroidery could not be found. (H0007)” when launching Hatch Embroidery 3, it may indicate that the license file on your computer has become corrupt and needs to be reinstalled.

Steps to Resolve the Issue:

  1. Temporarily Disable Antivirus and Firewall:

    • Before proceeding, temporarily disable any antivirus software and the Windows Firewall to prevent interference during the reinstallation process.
  2. Download and Install the Latest Version of Hatch Embroidery 3:

    • Ensure you are running the latest version of Hatch Embroidery 3. You can download version 3.1.5 from the Hatch Embroidery Support page.
    • After downloading, right-click the Hatch3_Setup.exe file and select Run as Administrator to install the update.
  3. Set Hatch Embroidery 3 to Run as Administrator:

  4. Reinstall the HASP Driver:

    • Navigate to the Hatch Embroidery 3 folder in your Windows Start Menu.
    • Click on Reinstall HASP Driver.
    • After the installation, restart your computer. This should automatically re-enable both your Windows Firewall and antivirus.
  5. Add Wilcom Folders to Antivirus Exclusion List:

    • With Hatch Embroidery 3 closed, open your antivirus program and add the following folders to the exclusion list:
      • C:\Program Files\Wilcom
      • C:\ProgramData\Wilcom
