Setting Hatch Embroidery to utilize dedicated graphics card

For those of you with a dedicated graphics card such as an NVIDIA card, you can improve Hatch’s performance by setting Hatch Embroidery to operate with this card instead of allowing Windows to choose.

How do I set my Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) to run Hatch Embroidery ?

Resolution

To set the default GPU for Hatch Embroidery, you'll need to associate Hatch Embroidery with it so your computer will know which GPU to use.

  1. From Start Icon, type "Graphics Settings". 
  2. Click “Open”
    .

  1. Click Desktop App.
  2. Click Hatch Embroidery. If Hatch Embroidery is not on the list, you will need to browse to:


            

5.      Once identified, click Add

           For Hatch Embroidery 4 C:\Program Files\Wilcom\Hatch Embroidery 4\BIN\Hatch Embroidery 4.exe
           For Hatch Embroidery 3 C:\Program Files\Wilcom\Hatch Embroidery 3\BIN\HatchEmbroidery.exe
           For Hatch Embroidery 2:  C:\Program Files (x86)\Wilcom\Hatch Embroidery 2\BIN\Hatch.exe



6. You will now see Hatch Embroidery in your list of Programs. Click on Hatch Embroidery and select Options.


7. Set the application to your High Performance GPU.
8. Click save.

Hatch Embroidery will now utilize your higher performing GPU.
