How to create a new thread chart using many RGB Values

How to create a new thread chart using many RGB Values

If you have a thread chart that is not listed in Hatch Embroidery and you have the RGB values, you can create your own thread chart using Notepad.

1.  Open Notepad

Add the information in this format as shown below.

Make sure you have added a comma after each section.

Using this as an example here is what each section represents:

1355 = the color code

Isacord 30 = the Brand name and weight

Dark Brown = the color name

B = use “B” here

153 = the R value (red value)

102 = the G value (green value)

51 = the B value (blue value)

When finished it will look like this:

 Follow this format for each color to create your own thread chart in Notepad.

2.  When this is complete, give the thread chart your desired name. E.g. Isacord 30.

3.  Save it to a .TXT format

4.  Rename the .TXT to .TCH (TCH is the format for the thread chart)

5.  Move this .TCH file to your RES folder in the software.

V1.0 Owners and v2.0 Owners:

    You will save it here for Hatch: C:\Program Files (x86)\Wilcom\Hatch Embroidery Software V1\RES

V2.0D and later Owners:

    You will save it here for Hatch: C:\ProgramData\Wilcom\Hatch Embroidery\RES\ThreadCharts

V3 Owners

    You will save it here for Hatch v3: C:\ProgramData\Wilcom\Hatch Embroidery\RES\ThreadCharts

NOTE: Ensure your software is closed when you move the file to the RES folder.  When you restart your software, you will find it in the list of thread charts.

 If you want to assign this to show in the "My Threads" docker follow the instructions in the link below.
