How Do I Reset Templates, Defaults, and Toolbars in Hatch Embroidery 3?

Have you opened Hatch Embroidery 3 and noticed something isn’t quite right—like toolbars not laid out correctly or an unexpected image in the background? The Revert tool in Hatch Embroidery 3 makes it easy to restore your workspace to its original settings.

What Does the Revert Tool Do?

The Revert tool is located under Hatch Embroidery 3 in your Start Menu. It offers three options to reset specific settings:

  1. Reset Toolbars:

    • Select Toolbars to reset your toolbars to their default settings.
    • This only affects the toolbar layout and does not change other settings.
  2. Reset Templates:

    • If an image is displayed in your background, you may have accidentally modified the Hatch3.JMT template.
    • Use Revert to restore the factory version of the Hatch3.JMT file.
    • Note: This will erase any custom settings saved to Hatch3.JMT, but a copy of the original template is always maintained.
  3. Reset Factory Defaults:

    • Select Default to revert the software to its factory settings.
    • Important Notes:
      • This removes any changes you’ve made to the User Interface and hardware settings.
      • It does not overwrite:
        • Third-party fonts you’ve added.
        • Motifs you’ve created.
        • Custom templates with a name other than Hatch3.JMT.
