How to add folders or designs to Manage Designs using “Find Embroidery Designs" function

There are two main ways to link designs on your hard drive or USB to your Manage Designs Toolbox.

They are not “moved” into your Manage Designs, so they will stay where you have saved them.  Manage Designs Toolbox links to your design and will appear when you open the Manage Designs

Below is how to use the Find Embroidery Designs function.

If you want to read about the “Add Folder to Library” function click here.

Click on Manage Designs Toolbox   (1)

Click on Find Embroidery Designs    (2)

The software will find all designs on your hard drive (c:drive).

NOTE: If you have an external hard drive connected (e.g. USB drive or thumbnail) it will also search that.  So unless you want to search everything, we recommend you to unplug your USB device that you do not want to search.

This process can take a while depending on how many designs you have.

When finished it will return a dialog showing the folders that contains designs that it found.

Click any/all folders that you want to link to your Manage Designs  (3)

Click Add to Library (4)

Note: if you search and link to designs on your USB stick or drive, and then unplug it, they will not show up after it has been unplugged as the “link” would have been broken.
