How do I release a license from my computer for Hatch Embroidery v2/v1?

 

When you are connected to the internet and sign in to the software, it assigns one of your 3 allowed activations to that computer. 

 

Your Hatch Embroidery v2/v1 license allows a single user to install the Hatch software and have the license activated on up to 3 computers. You may only run the product on one (1) device concurrently.

 

You may not share your license with other users.

 

There are two ways that the license can be released from your computer:

1. When closing the Hatch Embroidery v2/v1 software use: 

For Hatch v2:  Run the software > Click File Menu > Sign out and release license.

For Hatch V1: Run the software > Click File Menu > Sign out and Exit Program.  

This will release the license to that computer and put it back into your account.  You can then use that license on another computer.  If you run the software on this computer again, you will need to be connected to the internet and sign in.

2. Do not run the software while connected to the internet for 60 days.  If you have not run the software while connected to the internet at least one time during a 60-day period, it will release the license assigned to that computer back to your account.  You will need to sign in the next time while connected to the internet.

      Why would it do this every 60 days?  To ensure you can always get your 3 licenses back should you have a problem with your computer.  See below for possible scenarios:

a. To make sure you have all the latest updates

b. If your computer is stolen and no one has signed in to your software for 60 days, the license will be released back to your account and you can use it on other computers.

c. If your computer has "died" and you can no longer run the software to "Sign out and Exit Program" to release the license, then after 60 days of no use it will automatically return the license back to your account.

Note: Uninstalling the software from the computer will not release the license assigned to that computer.

NOTE: Your license is for one user, not to be shared with multiple users.  We give you 3 installations of that license because we know that many customers will have at least 2 computers.  We recommend you save the 3rd license in case you have a computer crash.  If you have 3 or more computers, we recommend you log off using the File Menu > Sign out and Release License for Hatch v2 or Sign Out and  Exit program for v1 of one of the first two computers to release that license.

Should you decide to install all 3 licenses at one time, and one of the computers crashes, that license will automatically become available again after 60 days of not being used.  In the meantime, you can simply log out of one of the working computers using the File menu > ign out and Release License for Hatch v2 or Sign Out and  Exit program for v1 to release the license.  Then you can log in to the other computers.  This should work fine since the license is to only be used by one user.  Should you need multiple users, please purchase additional licenses of the software
