We are asked often how you can use the designs included in the software.  This depends if you have purchased the software or using a trial.

All designs included in the software are copyright by Wilcom Pty. Ltd except for designs in folders called "Design Supplier".  Copyright for designs included in the "Design Supplier" is held by the individual designer.

If using a trial:

You have permission to:

• Permission to use the designs for your personal use during the trial. 
• You may use them to sitch out items for yourself or as a gift.

You do NOT have permission to:

• To share the stitch data files.
• You do not have permission to change part of the design or take parts of the design to create your own design to sell.

If you decide not to purchase the software at the end of the trial:

• You do not have rights granted to use the designs or parts of the designs after end of the trial.

 

If you purchase the software:

You have permission to:

• Stitch out and sell the finished item with the design on it.
• You may stitch out the design to give as gifts or for personal use.
• For the designs in "Design Supplier" please see the copyright notice in each one, if applicable.

You do NOT have permission to:

You may not sell the data (stitch file). 

You may not take parts in the designs or change the designs and then sell the stitch file.  This is not allowed.

 

How can you use the fonts/alphabets included with the software?

You have permission to:

• You may use the fonts as text to create a new design for personal use  or gifts
• You may use the fonts as text to create finished items to sell
• You may create text using the fonts as part of a design to sell as your design.

You do NOT have permission to:

• You may NOT sell the text used in design as your design. 
• You may NOT sell the individual letters to create your own font or monogram design where you have used the entire alphabet to create a new design collection.
