What is the best way to save image files to open in Hatch v2?
Hatch can read several images formats. There are some methods that will work best in Hatch especially if you are wanting to do part or all the design with one of the Hatch Auto Digitizing functions.
NOTE: this is NOT necessary for Color PhotoStitch as it can use many colors but we do recommend to at least reduce the colors to 256 colors or less for Color PhotoStitch.
Here are the image formats that Hatch can open:
Tip: If you are saving your artwork in a graphics program to an image file format and then will open in Hatch, the recommended method to save is:
Save to .PNG with these settings:
- Transparency background
- Reduce to colors to at least 256 or less
- Turn off (unchecked) anti-aliasing
NOTE: You can only open CDR files if you have an approved version of CorelDraw installed and it is linked to Hatch.
